A fine small example of Trinity House work in a money box, savings bank, veneered on all sizes with burr walnut, one side showing a marquetry sailing ship in a roundel flanked with a selection of signaling flags, and with words Duet et mon Droit below, the other with a sailor brandishing a sword between two flags, each side with a ten sided marquetry star, the top with a panel of birds eye maple, in the centre of which the money slot is framed with multicolour parquetry banding.
The box is emptied by means of a wooden bung at one corner of the underneath of the box.
