An attractive & unusual Sheraton period inlaid mahogany tea caddy with a domed top and canted corners. The dome with an oval cartoche containing a classical urn, with rococo handles on a green ground, from which sprout leaves & flowers, the front with leaves in a star shape, the four canted corners of satinwood, the front two with conch shells inlaid, the whole framed with dental and diamond banding. The reverse has an oval cartuche inlaid with the words 'LOVE FOR LOVE' with the initials T W between two hearts on their sides. The interior with its original pair floating mahogany cushioned lids. The lock is in working order with a later key.
