An attractive stationery cabinet, veneered in well figured burr walnut, the doors with brass mounts, and studded with 'tiger eye' agates each framed with fine rope brass wire.

The contents of the solid walnut interior include a removable calendar assembly with replacement cards, a white glass writing slate, a tilt pen tray, and a pair of ink bottles with hinged glass lids.

A brass button below the lid releases the writing slope, which opens out to the original leather lined surface, and further storage space below. This section is also fitted with a pair of brass screw-top ink bottles.

A replacement key operates the 'Bramah' lock.
