A good set of Jaques Boxwood & Ebony Weighted Chess Men in a divided mahogany box lined with green beize, & bearing the Jaques trade label.
The pieces are in excellent condition with the exception of one white knight and one black knight, both of which are missing the tip of one ear. There is a horizontal split along the lid of the box.
Both kings are stamped at their base 'Jaques, London'
Height of kings: 3.5" (9 centimeters). Diameter of the bases of the kings: 1.75" (4.5 centimeters)
